Hinkle's Hackers golf tournament started in 2001.  The mission is to raise money to help in the search for a cure for blood related cancers.  The tournament is now held in memory of Jay Hinkle, who passed away in 2008 after a 9 year battle with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (see the "about us" tab for Jay's story).  The  tournament is a low stress fun day on the golf course for a good cause.  You don't need to be an accomplished golfer to enjoy yourself on this day.  We hope you will join us!

    Betsy’s News

Saturday August 20th was the Vermont Hinkle’s Hackers event. Thanks to all the hard work of John and Lisa Wirth, the day was a complete success. Once again the weather was perfect and the golf was exceptional. There were many prizes to be won and lots of support went towards the Jimmy Fund. Thank you to all who donated, participated and supported the events. We couldn’t make these events a success without all involved.

    ________________

The weather was perfect. The company was perfect. The golf was great. The mission is a success in progress. We were able to contribute a bit more towards the goal of a world with no leukemia. The best part of my day was learning that there is yet one more miracle drug on the market.  It was wonderful to hear from Jay’s doctor that one more super drug has made it to the patients’ in need. New drugs are developed every day, they are better and smarter so the patients don’t have to endure all the negative side effects of the previous version. Hinkle’s Hackers has been a contributing factor to the discovery of these new wonderful medications!!! We couldn’t do it without our supporters!!

We now concentrate on the next Hinkle’s Hackers tournament to be held in Vermont, August 20th. It is a great location for a weekend get away! Stay at the Three Stallion Inn and play at Montague Golf Course, all while helping to cure cancer.
